About the Artist

I'm Cláudia Dias, a Portuguese photographer focused on exploring themes related to mental health. My work explores the tension between inner pain and outward appearance, between what is revealed, what is concealed, and what quietly escapes containment

. Through a conceptual, surreal, and subtly ironic visual language, I construct images that inhabit the fragile threshold between psychological interiority and external form. Drawn to moments where perception becomes unstable, I use distortion, fragmentation, and ambiguity to examine the vulnerabilities embedded within human experience.

Rather than offering fixed narratives, the photographs operate as emotional propositions: spaces where discomfort, memory, masking, and presence remain unresolved. I am interested in the quiet dissonance of what cannot be fully articulated and the traces of emotion, fracture, and unease that linger beneath the visible surface.
